CHARLESTON, S.C. --- The Georgia women's golf team shattered its team tournament scoring record en route to sweeping the team and individual titles at the College of Charleston's Duramed Cougar Classic on Monday.

The Bulldogs carded a 1-under 287 at the Yeamans Hall Golf Club to finish the 54-hole event at 14-under 850. That was eight shots better than the previous school records of 6-under and 856 established while winning last year's Cougar Classic.

Sophomore Marta Silva Zamora notched her third career title after finishing at 8-under 208, a score equaling the third-best relation-to-par effort in Georgia history. In addition, freshman Emilie Burger tied for third at 4-under 212, and sophomore Milena Savich tied for fifth at 3-under 213.

A year ago, the Bulldogs played half of the fall campaign with only five golfers on their roster before adding a walk-on for the spring.

Silva Zamora started the final round two strokes off the pace of Florida State's Lacey Agnew but played along side her competition.

Silva Zamora lost a stroke with a bogey at No. 1, but Agnew bogeyed No. 5 to close the gap back to two. Both golfers birdied No. 7 before Agnew bogeyed both No. 9 and No. 11 to create a tie atop the leaderboard.

Silva Zamora inched ahead with a birdie at No. 12, but Agnew responded in kind with a birdie at No. 15. An Agnew bogey at No. 17 gave Silva Zamora a one-shot lead entering the final hole.

Both golfers moved within birdie position at the 505-yard, par-5 No. 18. Silva Zamora putted first, knocking in from four feet to seal the win.

Silva Zamora finished the day at 2-under 70, the same score posted by Burger. Georgia also counted Savich's 70 and a 75, the tally recorded by both Andrade and Tess Fordham.

Dating back to last season, Silva Zamora has now won three of Georgia's last eight tournaments. She also won the UNLV Spring Invitational and the SEC Championships in the spring.
